Hey guys,
Let’s get right to it, I am in 8th grade and I just finished my looooooooonnnnnnnggggggg process of finding a high school to go to. I absolutely hated it!!! I don’t think I know a single person who likes the process of applying to a new school. There is so much you have to do and it’s exhausting. Here are all the steps that come with applying to a new private school…
- Choose the schools to apply to
- Apply to the schools
- Take the SSAT test (WHICH IS 3 AND A HALF HOURS)
- Attend the Open Houses
- Take the test for the schools
- Get interviewed
- Send in your latest grades
- Wait until you get replies
- Choose a school you got into (If you had options)
- Do everything required to get into the school (take TB test, send in report cards, note saying you graduated the previous grade, etc)
- Spend a day with your graduating class at that chosen school

It doesn’t seem like much, but this whole process takes about a year and maybe more… You have no idea how terrifying the entire process is. BUT, in the end when you get your results, it is a BIG relief because it’s all over. Yes the process is stressful but it’s worth it in the end because you get to go to a good school and get a good education.
TIPS
- STUDY for the tests
- Always be on your best behavior because they are always examining you from the moment they see you
- Be friendly
- Don’t show your scared
- BREATH
- Do good in school to impress them
- Have patience because the tests and interviews can be long
- Make sure to answer the interviewers with clear and understandable answers
